Definition: A cat café is a place where people can relax with friends and felines while enjoying a drink or snack. Our café houses rescue cats that are available for adoption. Some cafés also house cats that are permanent residents.
Origin: The first cat café opened in 1998 in Taipei, Taiwan, and quickly expanded throughout Asia and into Europe. Since then, cat cafés have spread throughout the world. Cat cafés moved into North America in 2014, with the first one opening in Montreal. California was next, and then New York. There are presently 150+ cat cafés in the US.
We strongly encourage guests to reserve their spots through our website. We cannot guarantee walk-in availability. Please understand that our hours may fluctuate. Text (860) 661-6092 for any questions about booking your appointment.
Your visit directly benefits our cats! The proceeds from each entrance fee help us fulfill our mission and offset the expenses of running the cat café.
Your payment helps us to fulfill our mission: rescuing and improving the lives of homeless cats.
You must be at least 6 years old to enter the cat café. As adorable and sweet as kittens and cats are, they are also very fragile, and sometimes unpredictable creatures. We strictly enforce our age policy for the safety of your babies, and ours.
Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children 6-9 must be accompanied by 1 adult per child. Children ages 10-12 may be accompanied by 1 adult per 3 children.
Children 13-17 may enter the café without adult supervision.
Private parties: In certain circumstances, there may be an exception to the minimum age policy for a private family party. We will consider children younger than 6 on a case by case basis, depending on the number of people in your party and the children’s ages. Contact us for more details.
All children under the age of 18 must have a youth waiver signed by their adult parent, caregiver or legal guardian prior to entering the kitty lounge. There are no exceptions.
All of our kittens and cats are from our rescue partner, A Chance For Love Rescue. Our cats are from Connecticut. We do not import cats from out of state.
All of our adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated against Rabies & Feline Distemper (RCCP), tested for FIV/FeLV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus & Feline Leukemia), microchipped, & fecal tested for parasites prior to adoption.
Please, no! Our purpose is to find homes for our rescue cats, and we have plenty of them here. In addition, we cannot take in any cats that have not been vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and tested for parasites and communicable diseases.
NO. Please do not bring stray cats to us. We are not an intake facility and we cannot accept them. Our cats come solely from our rescue partner. Please, if you find a stray or abandoned cat, contact a local shelter or veterinarian to help them receive the care they need.
Our cats’ well-being is our top priority. We have implemented this set of rules for the safety of both our cats and our visitors.

- Minimum age is 6 (except Kids & Kiddies session). Children under the age of 13 require adult supervision. Waivers required.
- We are a shoeless café. Please bring socks, or you will be asked to purchase our kitty socks.
- Be respectful of our cats' personal space and boundaries. Speak softly and move slowly, never chase a cat. Do not pick up our cats from standing or disturb sleeping cats. Some of our kitties prefer not to be pet, and that is okay! You never know what they've been through. Watch their body language for signals.
- Doors to/from lounge will be locked. Do not open doors without a staff member present.
We have pre-packaged cookies and a selection of cold beverages for purchase. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and (non-alcoholic) drinks to enjoy during their visit. Please do so at your own risk, some of our cats are very curious! Please do not feed the cats!
At the moment, All the Single Kitties is undergoing the process of becoming a non-profit organization therefore, any contributions made are not tax-deductible. Your contribution will go towards the ongoing care of our cats until they are adopted.
Donations made directly to A Chance For Love Rescue, our 501 (c)(3) non-profit rescue partner, are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. (Please consult a qualified tax advisor for advice on your individual tax situation.)
